Mate, no problem at all, and thank you for replying :)

I'm going on holidays this morning, but I'm going to sneak out and have a quick go at this :hihi:

Woohoo! It works, and it sounds bloody great!!!!

:D  :band: :band2:  :hyper: :tu:

I used the hard and very hard settings, and for my keyboard they were extremely realistic - love the sustain pedal noise, btw :hihi:

Anyway, when I get back from holiday, if you've released it, I'm buying it :D

Ok, now I see the point. Let's make an example: I have two MIDI keyboards next to me, the beloved Motif 7 which has a great keyboard action and a good response, and an Evolution MK461c, which has a crappy plastic keyboard with an horrible dynamic response (not to mention that black keys are more sensitive than white ones!). When I play on the Motif I can have a realistic dynamic response and I can walk through the whole available range, and - like for the real Rhodes - I have to hit *really hard* to make it "bark", but if I play chords I can't keep hitting the keys that hard all the time, it's unnatural. If I'd do this on the real Rhodes, I'd surely end up breaking some of the tines.

Viceversa, if I play on the Evolution - with its awful response - I can easily reach the maximum velocity all the time, even with light keystrokes, regardless of the selected dynamic curve.

To cut a long story short, when using software pianos all that matters is the controller keyboard. And I bet this is no news :)

Anyway, in the next version I'll ad a menu with some more global options, like min. and max. hardness, sound character (dark, bright...) and a few other useful things.

So far, thank you all for your help.

This is just a fiddle on the default preset - if I fiddled a bit, I could get it to sound more realistic to my tastes, but it's already sounding great :D

Ok been playing for a bit now and was wondering, a little OT but what I could use on this to give a bit of compressed saturated amplification with a bit of fuzz? You know like the amp'd speaker cabinet that sits under the stage versions.. I was trying some imps in Voxengo Boogex(Wish there was one specific for keys) but think they kinda wreck the realistic feel a bit. Any ideas?

Turn on the "Power Amp" switch and hear carefully... compression, FET-like saturation, it's all there...

Actually, in the last version I've lowered the saturation a bit, but maybe I should include a setting for that too.

Coding right now... :D

Have you tried Tubedriver? Also: don't use guitar cabinet impulses they cut off too much of the bass. Try bass cabinet impulses instead maybe, or skip the cabinet impulses.
Other good saturation plugins: garageband and tessla if you are looking for a more solid state kind of sound.
the new Freeamp is worth trying also.

agree, freeamp3 sounds like a good amp for keys.

great! that will help a lot with crappier keyboards.
