I'm loving it, very cool sounds indeed! Esp/ the blue noise.

Two small things:
I am having diffculties getting variance with vibrato especially with rate, really not hearing anything (I've maxed everything). Am I missing something?
Also, Max out the High pass and Low pass knobs in the filter and then turn down the low pass...note they both go down (FLS), not sure if thier suppose to but thought I'd let you know.

Regardless, again thanks!

I like it. Just quickly went through the patches and played with the patch mem buttons but no other controls yet. I like that FLStudio knows which buttons I'm pressing. I like the sound. I found I needed to turn the volume down between patch changes to avoid a popping sound.
I'm a big fan of StringZ2 and look forward to playing this one.
Thanks.

Wow, Ian, that's a surprise release ! :)

Sounds very very good (but then, no surprises here :) ) Very big sound.
I like the UI as well.

It adds to your PM/FM synth collection: Richman2, StringZ2, S1. This lot packs a sublime sonic punch, if a 'punch' can be called sublime.

Sounds and looks great, thanks Ian.

I love those mysterious retro buttons - they seem to control the harmonic complexity of the sound somehow. I like simple sounds, so I keep pushing the buttons on the left side - makes it a completely different synth, but still very organic and evolving.
I'll definately be using this.

Wow, a very good response. thanks for the feedback guys..

Some answers to some questions:

The Skydrive that I had the file posted on is a service that is part of Microsoft Live (spaces). It is 'free' but limited to a pretty small storage space. You can make the shares private, restricted to 'friends' or public though, so not too bad.

The Organ buttons along the middle switch the basic waveforms, the colour coding is the white ones are 'simple' (Sine, triangle, and Square) the red are variations on sawtooths, and the blue ones are complex or digital waveforms.

The hi and lo eq are designed to interact so that you can only lower the hipass shelf to the same as the lopass shelf and visa-versa. otherwise the sound would pretty much dissapear.

I have only included 16 patches at the moment as I felt this had a little bit of a one-trick-pony feel, but if anybody discovers some other sounds out of it (patch-writers of the world unite!), forward the patches to me at the usual places and I will expand the patch bank to 32 or 64 (or more)

Good luck with this one, I managed to find a small window of opportunity and have wanted to do a pure string-synth from way back in the Etiquet days, I feel with this one I have come pretty close.

well, as long as you have enough ponies you will have enough tricks to be entertaining.

and it's inspiring to work with limitations - even the most stubborn of ponies can be taught some new tricks.
