The widening, if it's pure mid/side processing, should not mess with phase but I think the "analogue processing" does use some phase altering tricks. Just a guess though. At least the "tone" of material is changed, simply by adding the plugin.
This is NOT usually a problem but if you need perfectly phase aligned elements then I suggest using it on a buss/group where you send all the elements that need phase alignment and process them all together (this might be a necessity if you've got two separate kick/snare/tom microphones).
Cheers!

The MS section doesn't mess the phase at all, the 'analog' option slightly - see the manual.spinedoc wrote:Does rescue mess with the phase? only ask because I have never utilized MSED before and love this plug. I have not my checked mixes I have used rescue in in mono yet though.

BTW bootsie,
what do you prefer: bootsie or bootsy? I think on your plugins it says bootsy.
OK, I just wanted to say thank you again for TesslaSE. It's all over my mixes now. Really cool.

Same here. It has quickly become one of my favourite plugins. I had good fun yesterday analyzing Tessla and Rescue with Christian Budde's VST analyzer. Very interesting that dynamic noise or "analogue" thing you have going on.

And his analyzer was and still is a real lifesaver for me during development. It's amazing whats out there as freeware (erm, in both senses I have to admit).Same here.
