That's a pretty good sound you got there, quiet remarkable. I used a patch very similar to it a few times, but the tapes are long gone :(

I'm looking fwd to being able to play with this!

Great! so how am I doing?

I missed this is the other thread.. KVR just stopped sending me reply notices for some reason. This is good! Thanks. :)

duncanparsons wrote:Tom, I've downloaded the latest version, and will try as soon as I have chance.

Here are two songs I did back in 1994 which feature my old Delta. The band was Paley's Watch, and the album was November.

Donald Condon features the Delta just after the organ solo, and on the mini-track 'PULL!' at the end. In the main track, it appears just after the organ solo, leading into the chattering guitars and flute section. It also maintains the very low drone using the low strings. In 'PULL!', it should be fairly obvious what it is, no strings attached there.

December is the last track on the album, and contains bits of all the previous tracks, the opening fade in uses excepts from each of the tracks as a chaotic counterpoint. During this overture, the delta provides the squelchy bass. . It also does that huge sweep into the start of the first bit of singing.
At the end of track, during the fermature the Delta is used to do the swirling white noise. I used two tracks, one fed through an autopanner, the other dead centre; it shows off the filter and joystick modulation capability quite well.

As it goes, I played everything, apart from the autopanned guitar solo. I also did most of the engineering, production and mixing, and really enjoyed myself no end :) It was using a 16track tape deck, with a 18:8:2 desk, Atari ST running Notator, three well spec'd (for the time) MIDI modules, a few reverbs to hand...
The timing is a little loose in places, mainly since we only had time to go with the earliest take that was "good enough", which does mean there bits I would love to go back and change in the playing ot mixing, but it will never be :(

Both tracks weigh in at the 10-11Mb mark, just so you know (both ~7 minutes)

Enjoy :)

I really like the other EFM synths I've tried, but this one might be my favorite so far. Great sound, great GUI!

This is cool, my 2nd fave after Hyperwave. I love the vibrato. Definitely a weirdish synth sound from it.

Hey guy! Yeah it's cool... Who woulda thunk? :hihi:

That's a great idea! The one you just gave me about putting the CK Mulit_OSC in HyperwaveII.. At least it wouldn't melt your CPU like Hyperwave.

EDIT: Forgot to say thanks.
