So im all about using software but i prefer using hardware over software when it comes to instruments, so what im looking for is something that has Sampler & VST/i capabilities so that way i can hook up my midi when playing live into the hardware and actually play my vsti's while running my beats/samples, so anybody got any suggestions? i have a comp but i never like using it live

Muse Receptor lets you play VSTi's (including any samplers) as hardware midi rack synths: http://www.museresearch.com/
NB: they're the main reason KVR exists at all ;-)
My MusicCalc is temporary offline.
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. :borg:

euh not true, when muse bought KvR years ago, it was already a pretty active site

on topic: yeah, the receptor is probably the way to go if you want to run vsti
there was a couple of other products, but the receptor is the king

Yep. It WAS active. I remember being VERY WORRIED that the purchase of www.kvrvst.com was going to ruin everything. I'm very glad it's turned out to be a good fit for everyone involved. I think the reason things worked out was because MUSE was wise enough to (to quote the infamous Mike Love), "not F... with the formula." On the other hand, I'm glad Brian was wise enough to not listen to Mike.
