CM303 will have the same sound engine as Tau Bassline Mk2, but we've removed the assignable MIDI controllers and the "accent" feature from the product. The GUI is also a special far-out creation courtesy of CM's resident artist rather than one of our team.
Featurewise, this makes CM303 on a level with the original Tau. Tau2 offers some pretty desirable features on top of this and is a nice cheap upgrade at only $17.50 (while the promotional period is still on).

Yea Computer Music mag is $15.00 here Tau MKII is WELL worth the $17.50 upgrade price.You get the full featured synth for a couple of bucks more than the mag(yes I know samples,articles etc-buy both!).Better yet buy Tau Pro and get a really monster bass/lead synth with built in effects etc-buy all three!
