Finally I've found some VERY nice clean artifact free sounding pitch shifters. Somewhere in all that shitload are plugins called GlitchOmat - very very nice pitchshifting with buffer settings and delay as well.

I actually downloaded something like 95% of the plugins on that page, and it took about 3 hours to go through all of them. There's alot of really good plugins, many of which do not have counterparts in regular VST freebies blablablabla. AND there actually wasn't nearly as much commercial stuff as I though there was, from what I can tell. The plugins I thought were from Cycling '74 PLuggos weren't those pluggos at all. :) ...just had the pluggo default skin. In any case I'd recommend the following:

Folder called cp1 - Vibrato: only the second free syncable vibrato I've seen and this one is sweet. All simple vibrato needs are taken care of from here. This folder also has A cool glitch plug called Munger.

DRAW ME - This is definately unique. It's like a spectral filter with tiny dots for frequency. What's so cool about it is that it turns even a thin sound like Synth1 into a choral pad. Just Tap in a few dots and listen. AMAZING. It came from a folder but can't remember which :D Pads couldn't be easier.

EnvelopeVSTEffect - It's like two tremelos in one, a fast one and a slower one. NEAT for falling/rising shortFX

Fire Sample Flange - two pretty neat tame flangers.

Gleetchplug stereotronic - divides source into 3 bands and allows to adjust stereo for each band.

GregDavis Spectreman - is like a smaller version of DRAW ME. His folder also has some pretty good granular FX

stuccolandXP folder - more awesome graularFX. I recommend the Combernation2 (adjustable comb filter), Deloayrama (2 short modulated delays) and Mungrainer (like a granular distortion unit)

jkPluggos - lots of meters and a MIDI actiavated 4 band PEQ in jkphilter.

zPSOhce - it's a MIDI activated speed/pitch shifter. Vey simlpe, very effective very clean.

technoGizmo - it's like a sequenced pitch shifter that runs up to 32 steps and the pitch follows the illustrated graph, but it's not really free-drawn?@?# WICKED!!!

512EQ - can give the same comb filtered effect of DRAW ME and gregdavis' Spectreman, but more blocky.

Doppler - just three parameters that sound great.

Folder spyPC - a MIDI activated pitch shifter/delay called hamote. There's also a nice ring modulator in this folder

Not a fan of any of the synths that were on offer, but as for resonators, pitch shifters, modulating delays and spectral plugins, I think Pluggo freebies whomp on the regular general stuff. Now to find out if I'm allowed to keep the one's I REALLY like

technoGizmo didnt do anything drastic for me, maybe I tweeked it wrong, didnt notice any obvious pitch sequenced, if so it was reeeeeeeeeally fast

It's back. Can't find DRAW ME, which sounds like something worth a good look.

Just wanted to add another invaluable little plugin to the "must have" list: TempotoCtrlPulse.

This is a MIDI activated free-envelope shaper that allows you to automate Pluggos. You can get it from the Collaedoscope plugin folder labelled Cpc1, and it's WICKED easy to use too. There's also TempotoCtrlWave in this folder which is a basic LFO. I remember trying to automate Pluggos in FL some time back and things crashed like... something very crashy. These two plugins, among others available, make easy automation possible.

You rockers might not need to, but I think anyone making thoroughly processed electronic music should try out alot of these plugins. Their FSU style and capabilities coupled with their clarity really shine past pretty much all but the best of other plugins I've tried before. They may not be pretty, but I rank a great deal of them right up there with the likes of dblue's Glitch, mdsp's Fire and such fine company. The pitch shifters are my favourites so far.

You may also want to get some plugins from the apparat folder. There's a couple of modulating delays in there that allow you to draw curves against two parameters, and this curve will be redrawn to match tempo. GRAINDELAY for example has delay size and delay speed on XY axes. You can dray a curve between these two parameters and have the modulated to tempo... and at 3% CPU on my antiquated 1.83 GHz machine.

+1 for the apparat stuff (GEEQ09b = )
maR Grainfield by Audioo is also great :tu:

...ooh ooh ooohh! Also get WavemorpherB7 if you can find it. Its a DYNAMIC waveshaper... as in Cyanide, but dynamic!!! You will need some CPU cycles to run it in Dynamic though... about 15-20% on my 1.83 GHz...
