Hey Folks,

I've noticed this hit sample in a few tracks from different artists so I'm guessing its from a sample pack, I've had a look through Vegeance Clubsounds 1 and 2 and Vengeance FX but couldn't seem to find it, here is a sample of it, it has like a shot buildup then hit with echo.

If Anyone could help, would be great!

if you mean the percussive hit, its just a kick and crash.

No not that, the bit over it. Has a kind of tone to it. and u hear it the reverb on it too.

it appears to be just the synth (with a hell of a lot of phaser? and reverb), over the kick and crash, which gives the effect of a "hit" there also seems to be a bit of pitched tone with a pretty quick lfo altering the volume, again smothered in reverb, which might be what your referring to.

i reckon you could do that pretty easy with any synth, i don't think it would matter what you used, you'd just have to take the time to get the pitch and lfo rate right.

edit: on a few more listens it sort of sounds like a scream, perhaps loop a short part of a sample of someone screaming and pitch it up a bit (a bit of trial and error here will go a long way). use your samplers envelope to create an attack section, i don't think you'll need a release section as the reverb will take care of that. then use the samplers lfo to alter the volume.

although someone might know better.

hope that's helpful.

a reverbed, then reversed, vocal sample? - it starts before the hit, and changes pitch on the hit...

yeah sounds like a vocal alright, i'd go so far as to say.. it's two, a snipet of the ending of one vocal and leading into a separate sample for athmospheric effect at the kick down - kind of an asian or rainforesty female/child chant if you know what i mean.

first vocal is slightly quivering.. next one his one of those big reverby shouts!
