very good chocolat cake (128)
very good chocolat cake (192)

more of an ode to S3, really.

as I was flipping thru the presets of Ian's new krakli string synth, I played the "closure" preset and this is basically the result of my doodle.
that doodle was late last night. I went back and listened to my "automatically saved copy" of my last 15mins of doodling (thanks to Benedict's PRR being slapped on my master bus as a integral part of my default Live template ;)...)
and I rather liked it despite it being at a bit of a low volume. i put the doodle back in Live and added an effect send during the fade out from about 2:20 to the end. Everything else you hear is the S3.
Great little synth. 8) thank you, IAN!

...and thank you blortblort for the peaceful music. It was great because when I usually listen to something through KVR I go into "music-synth analysis mode", but this just made me relax and listen.

Cool.. & relaxing.

Thanks for listening and for the nice comments, Murky and Benjamin!
while not all of my stuff is peaceful, I've gone there from time to time ;)
I swear- sometimes a sound just strikes ya. It was that way when I hit that closure preset on the S3. I don't even think I tweaked it...it just started playing me

Dude, that sounded really nice. That synth has some very vocal qualities to it and you seemed to make it "sing" with this peice. The sound is very crisp and clear but the tone (mood I guess) is very warm. Great work.

Wow this is very cool.. I love it so much when i hear music done with my stuff, especially when it suprizes me with the sound produced.. Actually listening to this has given me an idea that the 'noise' or hiss which is present in the sound if you dial it in might be better if you could control its volume with velocity or mod wheel. I will look at building that in to the next patch addition update..

wow...that must have been some serious cake.

Thanks for sharing your euphoric experience.

Nice way to find out about a new krakli synth. - K

@ Justin - Like I said...sometimes I play the tune, but sometimes it plays me. I think we all have been there (it's that incredulous "I did that?" feeling when you play it back  )
as always, thanks for listening

@Ian - I'm quite flattered that ya like that one (I must say that I really dig your demo on the S3 thread 8) ) the extra "noise" modulation controls sound interesting, but I can only speak for myself when I say I think it's peachy just the way it is... don't get me wrong: I'd always opt for more controls, but don't let that addition send you down any rabbit holes. S3 is pretty amazing as is! Again- thanks for this, Ian

@ sevenoctaves - that is quite some range ya have :D ... and yes, the chocolate cake I'm thinking of was very good indeed. In fact, the title of the track is ...borrowed from the actual name of a dessert at a local resturant
thanks very much for listening and taking the time to lemme know ya like!

Well, this man has certainly twisted my ears about with this prettiness, and I'm not exactly unfamiliar with your wonderful toys!

Nice.
