It doesn't say if they are hammer action or not.

I can't even find it on the yamaha site yet

So I don't know about the hammer action.

I just like the way it's kinda "nuts and bolts" without the sliders and crap that rarely work properly on these things anyways.

I'm guessing it has nice keys, which is my biggest concern.

The KX series actually looks quite decent...there's been a mention of that X-Factor VST thing to be its supplement of sounds to use for those MIDI keyboard controllers.

But to be honest, if I wanted hammered keys, I'd look closely at other brands before then. After all, they could be cheaper and do preetty much the exact same thing. (Again, it comes down to how you personally like its 'playing feel')

Who has hammer action for less? These new Yamahas are decently priced.
The only other hammer action I have tried is the m-audio Keysation which I didn't like. It's spongy and you can't do a slide across the keys (what is that called?)with it.

The Yamaha synths with hammer action are very nice. I have been considering getting an s90 or an mo8 and using it as a controller.

These new Yamahas with their included vst sounds look very good, especially if they are standard Yamaha hammer action.

Cousin's got an MO8, and it's excellent.

Great feel to it, and not as expensive as the Motif ES8.

yamaha midi controlers
