The Chromatic Hits (electronic percussions and hits) sample set is now also available for the Emulator X2. It has 205 presets. The first 101 presets correspond to the programs of the original version. The other 104 presets make use of the Emulator X2 features. I mainly combined the samples in various creative ways: layers, velocity layers, cycle groups and random groups. I did not use much the filters or the FXs as I preferred to design dry presets and let you apply processing and/or filters as you like. But still there a few presets with filters and/or FXs.

It is offered for a limited time at a special introductory price of $29.99 US, regular price will be $34.99. It should work in the Proteus X2 too, but please try the demo before buying.

The soundfont and sfz formats are still available at $24.99 for both. They are also included in the Emulator X2 package. Previous owners of the soundfont + sfz formats who wish to also have the Emulator X2 format can email me to get it for a small crossgrade fee.

Thank you!

I will soon add some MP3 demos specific to the Emulator X2 soon. Of course everything displayed in the current MP3s can be done with the EMU X2.

Below are 5 MP3s specific to the Emulator X2 version of the Chromatic Hits. One preset per demo and no external processing.

Alien Caves
Phased Machine
Confused Bunch (Random group preset)
Mini Chromatic Grab Bag (Random group preset)
Metal Brushes cycle of 3 pattern (Cycle group or Round Robin)

Similar results can also be achieved with other high end samplers, for instance the random and cycle groups.

Comments and questions are welcome!
