If you are at NAMM come by and visit Sonic Reality in booth 6331. We're announcing that Ocean Way Drums is shipping. www.oceanwaydrums.com and available right now from here http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=1837 as well as Sonic Reality dealers world-wide very soon.
We're also announcing... this! www.downloadablesoundz.com The press release will be out today but here's some extra info for you epointz lovers. epointz will be the same as "download credits" which you can buy directly from the site OR on gift cards (kind of like iTunes cards but for sounds) in stores or also on the site (good if you want to give it as a gift). The good news is that your epointz will also count as download credits on www.downloadablesoundz.com and there's now NO minimum purchase of $5. required and no upper limit on how many you can get from referals... a sound junky's dream. Plus, in the next month there will be a lot of new downloadable sounds added for more formats as well.
Plus, I am collaborating with Ken Scott, an engineer/producer who worked with Pink Floyd, Supertramp, Elton John, Bowie and The Beatles this year and that's being announced as well for the Studio ProFile series.
Been busy.

Great news Squids!! I was checking it out, and this looks like the perfect system for buying sounds. I like the discounts for Platinum members, too. Will Platinum members also get discounts on ePointz purchases?? When is this going to take affect, ie, when will our epointz limit be lifted? when can we start buying epointz?
I'm a little confused about the difference between the loop club and the downloadable soundz areas. Will be be able to use epointz at the loop club? Will there be some sort of rate of exchange between the two?
I have to say, there was a time when I knew every corner of your site, but the sheer volume of material available now is enormous, and I can no longer make that claim!

Yes, epointz will be like having cash to spend on anything on that site. They will be the same as "Download Credits" on www.downloadablesoundz.com which are what you get when you buy a card (or even a virtual card). Yes Platinum Members get a discount. Regularly though there is no discount unless you buy it in a store that carries the card. But Gold and Platinum members are the exception. Loop Club Credits are simply buying loops in bulk which you will be able to buy using your epointz and/or credit card.
The epointz limit and restrictions should be lifted today I think. If not then some time next week. We'll send out a newsletter.
There is a catch though to how we were able to switch to this system. The epointz and download credits (same monetary value) work mainly on downloadable sounds. In other words if you have $50 in epointz you could get $50 in downloadable sounds without having to pull out your credit card. Nice. I am sure a lot of people will be doing more referrals and taking advantage of OTHER ways to get epointz (in fact, for every review someone does that is accepted they will get something in epointz and for every AUDIO demo - yes we are going to have user audio demos on the site - we will give something in epointz and there will be other ways to get them beyond that). Okay, so that all sounds good right? It is. But, for physical products there will be a minimum sale price that it HAS to sell for otherwise this unlimited model won't work right and we couldn't afford to offer it. You see, before we had a limit of $50. you could accumulate so if you bought a more expensive product the most you could apply was that. Now you could apply as many epointz as you can get! But in order to protect the fact that we have a higher cost into physical boxed products (and higher risk shipping world-wide) there will just be a minimum sale price per product and your epointz will be deducted down to its lowest price and whatever epointz you have left in your account can be applied the same way to other physical boxed products or 100% toward your downloadable purchases. This is a good way to do it. Better than before because we're gearing more toward downloadable content since it is going so well and this allows people who have some time to do it to just earn sounds by spreading the word... and they deserve it honestly so we're glad to offer it. It's all relative.
So, really it is six of one half a dozen of the other with regard to physical boxed products for the most part. Each one will have a different minimum price and you won't know what that minimum price is until you put it in your cart and it deducts as many epointz as it will allow from your account for that product (or group of products). But whether you had a limit of only up to $50 off or were able to use up $50 epointz toward a physical product vs. downloadable... it's just the same thing in reverse. Except that in some cases you will be able to apply more than $50 in epointz to a physical product. It all depends. Bottom line? It's a better system even for physical boxed products but an AMAZING system for earning FREE downloadable sounds.

The green is a little harsh, but otherwise, it works just like the downloadable esoundz when it was on esoundz.com originally.

...Does this work, or am I too early? I tried to register today, but no dice. Every time I click on the activation link, I get an empty page. I then tried to report this to your support, which then couldn't be delivered.
