You'll find these in pro studios and they are dirt cheap. I've owned two over the years. And if you buy two, they also sell these little faceplates that make them look like a single-space rack unit instead of two halfsies...

The FMR compressors are indeed very nice for the money, but not at all in the OP's stated price range.

My RNC was $170 US. They are great compressors, not so good on bass, though, so if you track a lot of bas guitar, it might not be the one for you. They are either stereo or single mono channel as well, no dual mono.

I was looking for these 'very nice compressors' and they don't seem to be available any longer here in the UK?

Looking for a good budget compressor
