It's the one thing I REALLY miss about guitar rig, both the 90 emu and the small stone emu are really quite nice!
It's just that original pics of at2 had the damn thing

Original AT2 depicting Phase 90 ^ !!!
And AT Metal has the other MXR pedal Eddie Van Halen is famous for, the M-117 flanger - plus his signature amp, the Peavey 5150 - and most likely the amp he made famous during classic VH, the Marshall JMP 2203. So it just doesn't make sense that they wouldn't include the most definitive piece of classic Eddie Van Halen gear of all, the Phase 90 - which they even have modeled and ready to go! They should finally make it available in Metal - with the EVH Script switch.

It's not too late for IK Multimedia to add their Phase 90 model to Amplitube Metal. They may still surprise us yet.

I wonder why did they remove it at all. You would guess is because they thaught they could fork it into another product, yet the fork is not on the table yet. It is no where to be found.redshift factor wrote:It's not too late for IK Multimedia to add their Phase 90 model to Amplitube Metal. They may still surprise us yet.
Unless they judged the emulation to be unsatisfactory and they removed it all together.

I always figured they removed it because the Phase 100 (Phazer 10) already covers the same ground more or less as the Phase 90 (Phazer 9), so they didn't want redundant stomps in AmpliTube2. That would have added insult to injury since AT2 doesn't include even one decent flanger.
But of course AT2 and ATJH both have models of a Fuzzface, so obviously cross title redundancy isn't such an issue. And AT Metal also makes up for AT2's lame flanger with models of two of the best flangers ever made. So AT Metal also presents the perfect opportunity for IKMM to finally make that Phazer 9 available to the public. I know a lot of people will own just AT Metal and will probably really want a phaser in it for those Eddie Van Halen classic metal tones when they're jamming on the Eddie Van Halen signature 5150 (150W) amp model.

Anyone else notice IKMM changed the graphics for AmpegSVX (at least inside X-Gear) to conform to the AmpliTube2 template?

They still don't have the drag&drop permutation of the effects. How freaking hard is it to implement that feature?redshift factor wrote:Anyone else notice IKMM changed the graphics for AmpegSVX (at least inside X-Gear) to conform to the AmpliTube2 template?

I hate that new kid. He moves his head like a parrot.
And how is stompIO the first ever to integrate hardware controller and software? GR has been doing it for year.
We need Dave back. Dan is no Dave.

Those original screenshots came out so far ahead of AT2 that I suspect the Phazer-9 actually never existed outside of the GUI. I bet the GUI was just a proof of concept that was put together before anything was finalized (like, "gee, these effects really look A LOT like the originals...hope that won't be a problem with some manafacturers"). Then at same later time, someone came up with the idea of modelling the Phase 100 we did get instead. It makes sense, and I don't really mind. Then again, I've got a phase 90.joeykusack wrote:It's just that original pics of at2 had the damn thing

But if you scroll to the right on the screenshot with the Phazer 9, you'll see the Phazer 10, too. And everything depicted in the original beta screenshots did appear in the final Amplitube2 build -- except for the Phazer 9.
Yeah, I agree. But I think that's a battle for another day.A3ntar wrote:They still don't have the drag&drop permutation of the effects. How freaking hard is it to implement that feature?
