Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a very small USB MIDI controller? I mean one with no keyboard at all, just a handful of controls.

Since I am always on the move, I'm looking for something with a few knobs and sliders to use with my laptop/soft synths.

The only one I have been able to find so far is the X-Session Pro from M-Audio.

Thanks!

Dave.

Well you are in luck. Novation just released exactly this at NAMM:

I'm considering getting one. $100 is a steal.

er ,'behringer nano control' I think ,bout 40 pounds, Not usb though. Also doepfer pocket fader. Runs on mains but I have modified with 9V battery, enough to power it. Doepfer pocket dial also. Doepfer products out of production possibly. check ebay. Think i got the 12 fader doepfer for 22 pounds! Know what you mean about portability. My 'small m-audio keyboard is about twice the size of laptop!

Judging by the picture in that link, it's also great for reaktor users with really bad eyesight.

Really amazing thing is that Automap 2 is totally revamped and promises to correspond with the actual GUI on screen. Meaning it works on a pixel level (I think). They say that it will work for any VST or plugin so it's somehow gotta be independent of the MIDI bindings. Also it will record on screen mouse-actions as macro's.
This thing is killer. Coming to a Novation near you. ;)

Wow, the Doepfer Pocket Dial looks very cool (endless rotary!). A real shame there's no USB on it. :?

Nocturn looks great too. Speed dial an exceptional idea!
