Ok here's the deal...
im thinking of getting Line 6 Toneport KB37...it can substitude 3-4 other hardware in my set up...
1.A Casio keyboard i use as a controller...
2.A POD XT with 3 model packs and Gearbox VST that i got for guitar but ironically i only use for vocals!
3.An Mbox that i use as a soundcard..
4.A Behringer Tube Ultragain mic200 Pre amp that i plug Guitar and Bass into before the Mbox...

Theoretically the KB37 will act as
1.Controller
2.Do the same job as the POD XT after transfering the model packs and the vst into it.
3.Act as a soundcard
4.plug guitar and bass straight into it without a need for a pre amp..

Would the above happen flawlessly or are there any potential fuckups?!

You can read about my experience with the KB37 in this thread ... I now own a Novation ReMOTE 25 SL and a NI Audio Kontrol.

Hmmm...maybe its bad luck on ur behalf or is it a common experience?
..Shit..i REALLY want this to work for me!

What i didnt really get is the "midi channel 1 only" thing...
If i select channel 2 for example in my DAW (C4 in my case)the controller wont work or there would be no sound on that midi track if i select the KB37 as a midi input?
Does anyone around here have any positive experience with the KB37 ?

This limitation is due to selecting the KB37 as a midi input?
If i select my internal Maudio audiophile as a midi input will i have the same problem?cant the KB37 work as a controller with the Audiophile as midi devise the same way my casio keyboard does?
Sorry if im pissing u off with any potentialy stupid questions b.t.w but i really need to clear this up...

Most midi controllers can transmit on every midi channel (1-16) ... the KB37 transmits on midi channel 1 only.

Hmm..so whatever the midi input (soundcard,whatever)it will only control midi tracks set in Channel one...not good..

Line 6 Toneport KB37 ,Yay or Ney?
