Today, I'm here to discuss my displeasings with 'the lost chord'. You know, those seemingly missing magical notes that somehow manage to beautifully tie together all loose ends....A chord, that otherwise without would leave us ravaged and depressed.
But I say, not today Chord. I will find you. And when I do, I'm going to exploit you to no end you son of a bastard.

Bah. Still nothing.

Oh chord, where are you and when will you pop into my brain? I don't have all day, ya know.

What's this? a soothing refreshment of tonal delight? Have I found you? Please let it be. IT IS!

E, D and Bb? since when did you guys become so special? I hate you.

HI

Why don't you switch your synth to '1' note polyphony: it will (at least) give you a breather from your journey - not to say anguish!

Flipper.

If that doesn't work, contact the spirit of Jimmy Durante. He found it once.

I only know that D minor is the saddest key... but I'll tell you if I find it though. Honest.

I think that David may have found it at one time or another...

It's rumored that even the lord was pleased by it.

To find the Lost chord you must travel beyond the House of Four Doors - The Lost Chord is within...

If in doubt, try an Em7#9.

#9? Is that what jazzers call a minor 3rd?

No, was kinda joking (was something a guitarist I know used to say).

But a nice chord is E G A G

On the guitar that is-

5th string E (7th fret)
4th string G (5th fret)
3rd string d (7th fret)
2nd string G (8th fret)

followed by - I think it is an A13 then a DMAJ7 and everyone gets cuddly;)

interesting, but the chord I'm using doesn't contain a C or a G.

On the guitar it'd be played:

sixth string=open
fifth string=5th fret
fourth string=6th fret
third string=7th fret
second string=5th string
first string=open

E7 then. Get AP-Tuner, and flatten the D's 31 cents and the G# 15 cents. :)

The Beatles managed to make a whole song out of it.

They made a song with a minor 3rd? Ingenius!

Could this be what you're looking for?
