Man,

I've been writing rock for 20 years and have been using straight samples from libs I shant name out of respect. But I just loaded ManyBass onto a mix and it blew the pants off any of my straight bass samples (even with an amp-sim) hands-down!

I just wanted to say thanks to Greg and Paul for something so good! This is most definitely one complete bass "solution" for rock, and I'm sure for other styles, too...

I, too, have been very impressed. Very impressed indeed! I especially like that the program is intuitive for a non-bassist such as myself, and produces great sounds with little tweaking (though it allows for that if you're into tweaking...I find tweaking sucks me down rabbit holes I never can crawl out of!).

I, too, feel I should send some praise your way. ManyBass has found its way in to most of my songs since I've purchased it. I'm not using it for rock either.

I have to agree with all of you. Working with manybass sound and performance-wise is a treat. It allows you to tweak it very quickly with either your own tools or the built in ones.

Call me a spoilt brat but it would be completely amazing if slides between notes within grooves are more possible. I haven't tried using the pitch bend wheel so much yet, but I find that generally doesn't work well with samples. Maybe one day my bass slides dream will become a reality? hehe I understand it would be a humongous undertaking though!!

That said, Manybass is still the leading bass VSTi to my ears :)

Eventually it'd be cool to have that sort of detail. There are ways of simulating slides and hammer-ons and the sort with MIDI--I'll have to make a tutorial about that. Or release a MIDI file with pre-made articulations using MIDI for users to copy & paste or set up to work with Sonar's excellent brush pattern tool.

Not yet. We are trying to get the Demo Version of ManyBass finished first.
This, so that we have a Demo once the site launches.
I am trying to get this wrapped up asap, but still need to deal with a few things.

Sounds cool, will be nice to test a demo before purchasing. Do you need any beta testers? I'm hoping to purchase it tomorrow anyway from the demo's and praise you have received.

:)

Yeah I'll chip in with my praises as well! This product seems to be hovering JUST below the radar and we got to make sure more people know about it! I'm anxious to see it evolve (more articulations, key switches, etc.), and I too check manybass.com almost everyday; I hope I don't have my hopes up!! ;)

Keeps us in the loops guys,

Marcel
