does anybody have a problem with AKAI mpk49 keyboard velocity?
if connected via USB only, mpk49's keyboard does NOT transmit velocity.
on my mpk only pads do transmit after touch and velocity, but keyboard transmits only aftertouch.

Maybe it's a good idea to load up e.g. MidiOx to view the raw midi data coming in, just check weather it's really sending velocity data or not.Page 16 of the Akai MPK49 Reference Manual wrote:EDITING THE KEYBOARD

2. Now select the keyboard for editing by pressing one of the keys.
3. You will see Page 1 displayed on the screen (shown on the left).

got the new one and it behaves like it should.
