The import features of Directwave are a mess. One version it works, next version it does not! When can we finally get the new version? How about making us happy and fixing what you already have instead of coming out with new stuff.

I agree, They wont even reply to my emails regarding a time line for resolving any of the problems I have with directwave. I can honestly say that its the most buggy piece of software I have ever bought.

What emails? I'll say what I've always said: we're working on it.

The new DW will be released with FL 8, not too long now. But I don't know exactly when.

What emails? Ive just sent another to regsupport. which will be the 6th in a row without answer.

I think there was something wrong with the contact script they were using for the contact page. It never worked for me either.

This is the first I have seen some clue as to when it will be released. If it will be released with FL 8, at least we know it will be eventually released and that it is actually being worked on. Thank you. It is frustrating as the thing just never fully worked!

Im emailing them direct, at first they replied but now they dont seem to want to , the last email I got was that eveyone was at NAMM and that no one could answer me.

For the record (and repeating stuff I've said before in this forum and others), I took over development of DirectWave for now. I fixed a lot of bugs in DW 1.3.8 (the current public beta), probably added a few of my own, and will start on DW development again this week.

But for the import of foreign sample sets, we rely on ChickenSys. We have a good working relationship with them, but it takes a bit of time to get things working. So please bear with me on this. Importing should be fixed by the release of FL 8 and DW 1.4 (hopefully before March).

It's a pity there aren't more competitors to ChickenSys you could approach. The maker of ExtremeSampleConverter and SampleLord has always been a responsive dev in all my dealings with him. Perhaps he'd be interested in writing a conversion engine for DW?

And obviously if I say before March, I don't intend to release by June. It's always possible that something unforeseen happens, but as far as I can tell it will be before March.
