It's basically meant to let potential customers know that it works on their systems and to see the CPU usage etc.
I've never understood the rationale of using noise bursts over just dropping the volume out for the same interval. Both methods render the plugin unusable.

Don't forget that along with cpu and functionality, many people try a demo to get an idea on the quality and types of sounds of a product. Noise burst ruin the whole experience for me in that regard, especially when occurring all too frequently - like every 15-30 seconds - what a bloody nuisance! Luckily for MT I already own ManyStation, as I will not suffer demos with noise bursts.

Of course, do as you wish...just my 2 cents

Believe me 1-2-Many.... Even being the Dev here, I hear you.

I hate noise bursts too, but that said, we had to get a Demo version of our main product out there.

We have been around for years and have never had a Demo of our products available. We not only have to protect the VSTi, we also have to protect the samples and in this case the noise burst is one of the ways of doing this. I am however looking into other options. Until then we at least can allow folks to be sure it works on their systems.

Even then the Demo is only 200 meg of the included 2.4 gig of samples in the full product. That makes it even tougher to show the full extent... but... we are trying and I do understand the noise burst issue. At least at this point we have a demo of some sort.

Point noted for sure. I offer the best we can at this point. I'll strive to improve things though, you can bet on that!

The new picked bass tone is an excellent addition to the Manybass palette - thanks to Paul and Greg. The tone switching option makes it a snap to use it in combination with the other articulations and the disk streaming keeps the memory load to a very manageable level even when several sets are loaded at once. A great instrument just gets better and better.

Both very nice posts to read.... Thanks guys.

As I mentioned in another thread, we'll be sending out mails to all ManyBass and ManyTone customers pretty quick with all this news. It has just become tradition to let our forum followers at it first ;-)

Glad to hear all are enjoying and a big welcome to all the new users we have had these last few days! I think the demo version and the new ManyBass website have helped folks get a better understanding of our products.

Thanks!
