And it's free!!!
Listen to a song I composed entirely with Cymbiant here:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=205553
Everything but the kicks & hats were done in Cymbiant.
Some specs:
Morphable Oscillator 1: Morph between Ramp to Noise, Sine to Saw, Triangle to Square, Combo, or Supersaw (Note: Pulsewidth & Sync do not work with Supersaw.
Morphable Oscillator 2: Morph between Ramp to Noise, Sine to Saw, Triangle to Square, or Combination. PW modulation on both oscillators really affect the square's sound.
Phase knobs both oscillators will smooth the sound. Turned all the way up - no sound at all.
Filter: Moog. Bandpass, and combo Moog/Bandpass. Moog Cutoff 35hz to 9000khz BP Cutoff knob separate. Q knob the same for both. Keyboard amount : -100% to 100%. Envelope Amount: -100% to 100% Filter Clip On/Off. Interesting clipper can really add some dirt to your sounds.
Envelope Generator for Filter & Volume
LFO; Tempo Synced or free from 0.20 hz to 50 hz. Level from -10 to 10. Usual suspect waves & Sample & Hold. Modulation Source choose between LFO or Pitch Envelope. Destinations: None, Filter 1 & 2. Pitch, PW, Osc 2 Pitch, Filter Q, Moog Filter only, BP filter only.
Chorus and tempo synced arp with Velocity & Transpose choice.
Some midi automation possible.

Let me know if you have any thoughts, comments, problems with it. This is a work in progress. Wait until you see version 2.0.
Cheers,

It's interesting, how you can choose say ramptonoise, then there's a slider which obviously enough goes ramp to noise...
Supersaw sounds cool combined with chorus.

Someone mentioned they've already used this in a song. And, a new patch bank is coming soon. I'd love anyone to make preset banks and private message me & I'll include them with the download(Hello, Tim Conrady!!!
) Glad it's getting some use. Now if I could get a talented skinmaker to make me a talented skin. Volunteers?

I'm happy to be getting such positive response. The demo was done with a lot of free very excellent effects added. (Mostly the Classic series) That's why there's no delay or reverb on the synth. I always find myself turning off a synths internal delay or reverb when I'm trying to layer a lead with another synth, so I thought, why bother? I may add a reverb in a new version just to make some pad weirdness. Look forward to 2 new preset banks coming soon. And if anyone else wants to make presets I'll be happy to include them in the download.
Also, I'm desperate for a good looking skin, if anyone wants to take a shot at that.
Cheers,
Osiris

This thing can really rumble the roof. That's why I included that warning in the readme. Not responsible for blown speakers (or minds)

Murky's making some patches & had the brilliant idea to do an arp at half speed, & it sounds wonderful.
So I've done a classical piece to show Cymbiant is capable of more than trance.
Download here:
http://www.4shared.com/file/36941218/c2 ... biant.html
It's called Adagio 4 Cymbiant. Very short.
Effects chains:
Took SupasawArp off of arp setting. ^Classic Chorus^Delay^Phaser
BuzzPad. ^Classic Chorus
Rank1String ^Classic Chorus
Mastered with Classic Reverb & Arguru Stardust.
Enjoy.
Almost 500 downloads and some new patches coming soon.
