Let me know if you need assistance with that format (assuming you don't own Kontakt since it wasn't on the list).

And sorry for the delay, got a bit busy playing.
I do indeed not own kontakt (unfortunately) and am not famliar wth it. Battery, soundfont an Halion will be first. I am also thinking of Shortcircuit.
After that I will see into Kontakt.
Mp3 samples will be up mid next week.
Greetings,
Hugo

Hey, that'd be great! (+1 for sfz, too)HugoJacquet wrote:I am also thinking of Shortcircuit.
There's definitely room for a nice, well-recorded (...preferably dry-as-a-bone...) jazz kit - count me in

At that price, I would definitely buy it.
Providing it sounds good, of course.
I am still searching for the 'perfect' jazz ride cymbal, pref. with both stick and brush hits. Oh, and edge/ride-crash hits too, if you know what I mean by that.
I voted "another format", meaning Kontakt 2, but I can import Battery so it's all the same.

Good luck on this project. If you do Battery, that can be loaded into Kontakt. But insofar as there is innate value in Kontakt instrument and multi programming, I may be able to help you out for a native Kontakt version.

I too will be really interested by such a kit.
Especially if it does not require buying Halion or Kontakt (which kind of disouraged me of buying the ns-kit, since as far as samplers go, I limit myself to shortcircuitn, sfZ and Tracktion's very own.

I had a peek at the sfZ format and think that after some "studying" may release an sfZ version.jbafrombordeaux wrote:I too will be really interested by such a kit.

By the way, all sampling itself is done now, except 1 Cymbal. Cutting, sorting and constructing will be done in the days to come. So stay tuned

Hugo, remember to take some time out whilst editing... You don't want to get RSI, or bored...

Another vote for sfz.pljones wrote:For the price, I'd definitely got for it. So long as the wavs are available. If it's not too big, SFZ format would be nice. Even if it is too big, a textual description of the mapping would be useful for doing my own.

Since Kontakt reads sfz, I'd be happy with thatHugoJacquet wrote:I had a peek at the sfZ format and think that after some "studying" may release an sfZ version.

yeah, if sfz does not restrict you on the number of samples included, that could be a nice way to satisfy shortcircuit, kontackt, battery and lm IV users alike.

Well there has been some delay. Got busy with other things (like playing music, teaching etc...).
I am using Audacity which is a bit of a pain haha. I whish I could afford Wavelab or something like that, but at the moment that's out of my price range.
I do use Sonar 7 for tracking and composing and someone at the sonar forums said It is a good tool for the job, but I am not yet familiar enough with it (coming from Cubase SX).
I will give a yell as soon as it's finished
Hugo
