Been looking at possibly purchasing the M-Audio Ozonic
(http://tinyurl.com/35sgq7) for live use, but would really love to find something similar that includes a few small drum pads too - does anyone know if sucha keyboard+audio interface exists? Been hunting around but not easy to find it seems...
Thanks!

Akai MPK49 49-Key MIDI Controller
CME VX series keyboards
I've got a CME VX5
It's sent off for a repair at the moment (mistakenly posted firmware that only I installed before they took it down lol) but they're a start-up, super-good about fixing stuff that breaks, and just the deepest midi controller I ever managed to find. Rather indestructible aluminum chassis, too.
But that being said the main reason I got that is that I already had a Trigger Finger which has pads with aftertouch. I believe the Akai keyboard's drum pads have pressure sensitivity, whereas the Korg does not.
Korg Kontrol49 49-key USB MIDI Controller Keyboard w/drum pads and therefore is an incredibly inferior keys/pads product in my mind.

Thanks for the tips everyone, these all look great - but are any of them also Audio-interfaces? I'm really hoping to find one that will do it all for the touring with...
I'm guessing I might have to go for something like the M-Audio Ozonic and then get a separate drum-pad just for programming stuff at home.

ozonic + MPD32 is the best option IMHO.
Either that or the MPK49(NOTE that I has 12 pads instead of 16).
The Axiom drum pads are not very sentitive and you'll
often have to hit the center just to register a hit. Not
worth it.
The korg might work for you.
I really suggest finding a store that has them and trying them out.
The drum pads feel very different on each of these.

Novation Xio-Synth and X-Station, Alesis Photon, M-Audio Ozone and Tone2 KB37 are about it for all in one audio/midi keyboard interfaces. No drumpads on any of them tho' ... I've opted for a ReMOTE 25SL and NI Audio Kontrol ...present wrote:Thanks for the tips everyone, these all look great - but are any of them also Audio-interfaces?(

I went for the Ozonic in the end, seems to be great I'm loving the joystick..
Got a weird problem though, MIDI works fine in all programs.. except Ableton Live 7! Anyone else experienced similar? Shows up in prefs and is marked for use..
