I had a chance to try it using both single coils and humbucker guitars.
Conclusion: simple but with a lovely sound. Great response to dynamics and volume pot. Definitely a keeper.

This and the Wagner Sharp are my go to ampsims for high gain crunch. Who needs Amplitube Metal when you got these. I just hope the newer high gain amp sims are better than this, because this is free. Although a bit high on cpu if you're running on an older computer, but I would track freeze for tone like this. This reminds me of a cranked Laney or Soldano amp. Can be quite versatile if you turn the gain all the way down too. A nice bitting clean tone perfect for metal genres, that would sit well in a mix.

Like the other people, wish there was a version with no built in cab, or option to turn it off and use impulses. The cab emulation on it is very good though.

Sounds good, then I put it after a synth and a distortion, where I was at 17% cpu, it took me up to 100%.

Brilliant little sucker!

I liked it right from the first chord.
I'm a happy Guitar Rig user - but there's nothing this little ampsim has to be ashamed of.

Just for the heck of it, I rerecorded some 80ies-Rock Riff I use in my guitar lessons normally and added some mediocre improvised solo. But it sure was fun to do

Sonicpark Rock

All guitar is Simple Guitar Combo. Solo has some Delay and EQ.

NickCrow, whatever your plans are with this ampsim, please consider a Mac version.

Yeah, this is really really great. Better than most of the commercial amp sims I have heard. You literally can not dial in a bad sound.

Wow amazing clips Dimitar! I doubt anyone would be the wiser those clips were recorded using a software amp.

I got a quick question for you - You harmonics really seem to leap out of the fretboard, sounds like your guitar signal has quite alot of treble in it - but there is no noise at all in any of the recordings I've heard from you!

How do you get such a clean trebly input guitar signal without the noise? - Is it your toneport interface or are you using some sort of magical noise gate? Pretty impressive to have zero noise when doing such high gain stuff.

This guitar is with very low output pickups and they are very trebly. It sounds like there is hi pass filter...really vintage and old school pickups... I use Slim Slow Slider noise gate and it works great. Also some times I use my Boss NS-2 Noise Gate. It works very nice too. Thats all

No secrets or something
