Can't wait! Let me just tell you, that I ended up buying Poly Ana last week because of one of your presets (Keys Stab A). I ended up using it in a song and just dug it so much that I couldn't bear to try replacing it with anything else. Your other presets have proven great too and most are in with my personal favorites. Thanks! The unshushable Coktor wrote:Check it out !!!(in a few hours, or maybe tomorrow, I'd say - I've just sent them to Mike)![]()

That's so cool to hear, and if you feel like sharing that song you made, I'd be curious to hear it.
That Stab A has some cool vibrato movement, hasn't it? I totally like it.
I just saw that the new patches are already uploaded, so go ahead, everyone, check them out!

They're up.The unshushable Coktor wrote:Hello lovers of Poly-Ana,
I have completed my first patch bank for Poly-Ana, 128 sounds, and I'm very pleased with my work. Most of it was already available on the Poly-Ana site, but the last 30 sounds are new, and the rest are updated to the latest version, sometimes with adjusted volume and envelope settings.
The patch bank, and all single patches, will soon appear in the patch exchange area of the PA site, under "The unshushable Coktor".
Please check them out and tell me if you like them, some are more impressive![]()
and some less

. There's actually about a dozen that I'll probably never use, but still like, but all in all I'm very happy with it.

Great stuff Coktor, thank you!!! And huge thanks as well for organizing them and zipping them, makes posting them to the site a 5 minute job instead of over an hour.
Coktor also remembers to rename his patches, both internally and in the file name, check the amp gain settings of each patch to make volume consistent across the bank, and always makes sure the mod wheel is set up to do vibrato or some other useful performance effect. I get sent a lot of patches that are good and interesting but don't meet all these criteria, so it's still a lot of work to edit them and put them on the site. Make it easy for me like this though and I'll have them up in a few minutes!
Here's a few tweaks I made to a few of these patches to show off some features. Check out Analog Drift for example in the "Lead - Polypipe Danger!.pap" patch:

Thanks for contributing so much to the value to this product Coktor!

Here's 3 demo patches to help get you started with the new Phase Mod feature:
http://www.admiralquality.com/products/ ... MDemos.zip
Phase modulation is what they used to call "FM synthesis" back in the 80s. I don't know of any classic analogs that had it, but after thinking about it and how it applied to Poly-Ana's analog model, it seemed it would have been possible so I thought, why not?
So, while her forte remains "concincing virtual analog", she's now also capable of some very complex and evolving timbres that are more evocative of certain early brown digital synths than any classic analog model. But unlike the early digitals, Poly-Ana's internal resolution and sample rates far exceed the originals. So it's a quality "FM" sound, without all the aliasing artifacts you're familiar with.
While not quite as flexible as a full 6 operator design, Poly's 3 oscillators give you more than enough carriers and modulators to make quite a complex sound. And then you still have Poly's 2 multimode filters to run it through, and in a stereo signalpath!
Check out the "PM-No Filter Brass!.pap" patch. The filters are both set wide open with no modulation on that patch. All that expression is coming from the oscillators phase moding themselves and each other.
"PM-That ain't workin.pap" should sound familiar, though I didn't get it quite right. Can someone nail that sound for me? Always liked those DX octave stabs in "Money for Nothing". And again, look Ma, no filters!
And "PM-Crazy Drum.pap" shows just how complex these waveforms can get. There's also some filter on this one to demonstrate the "hybrid" effect.
Digital virtual analog has never sounded so digital.

No, it seems the gui is part of the core of the code,
despite AQ insulting me on this forum more than once i domoed this synth & its verry good!!
IMO the gui is workable
if AQ was to make right his insults with me it would defently make my wishlist!
this is defantly a top quality product!
good luck with sales AQ & life starts at 40

If you turn off the pretty yet slightly more difficult to read knobs, it's quite easy on the eyes. You can switch the knobs to drop-down boxes.EYB wrote:yes, i think it is a good hq synth too, but i hestitate to buy it, coz i can't imagine to work a long time with that guiy

the new skins make this synth a lot easier to work on (see earlier in this thread), they really do it justice. The only thing to change for me would be a tabbed gui for small screens like wot i have.EYB wrote:yes, i think it is a good hq synth too, but i hestitate to buy it, coz i can't imagine to work a long time with that guiy
