mongfish 2 is better than mongfish, but even mong minnow is cool.
i have a fecking MONSTER list of stuff i got off my free download manager..
but i have to edit out a few things that aren;t music related....and a lot of it is stuff that is available still and easily found....but a lot of it ISN't found.
so i'll post it to the yahoo board, and ya'll can pick thru it at your leisure.

Redone the modulation matrix to avoid cpu usage problems. Also changed the routing of the synth quite a bit to save on power.

v2.0

Added the velocity gates, and the custom ADSR. Removed the delay unit as there already is one in the chorus plug.

v1.1 Update.

Bugfixes - Was a problem with the filters crashing if they were overloaded. Fixed.

Features added.

CPU saving enhancements.

Mods now have wave choices.

Modulation wheel now has a "classic" option whereby the mod wheel functions as a normal modulation wheel - with added speed/width adjustments.

Arpeggiator - A global arpeggiator is now included. It can be locked to the host BPM or freerun. I hope to make this oscillator assignable in the future,- currently it isn't and affects all oscillators.

Gui improvements - now looks better and less cluttered. Also takes slightly less screen space.

Presets added - There are now a selection of presets available right on startup. (don't require soundfonts)

v1.0

Well - here it is, and it's pretty darn good, capable of creating weird whooshy, pingy, bouncy, fat sounds. Also includes a soundfont player as well.

I'm working on a preset .fxb for it which will be based on the 8M CHAOS gm soundfont.

Of course you can load in other soundfont banks, hammersound is a good place to find them.

(oh - there is one bug - If you push the filter cut too high with mods - i.e. above it's maximum setting using a modulator patched to the cut control it'll crash. It wont bring down your system just the sound will stop and you'll have to save what you were doing in the mongfish and close and reload the plugin. It should'nt crash your host.)

All versions of the my VST virtual synth - mongfish including mongfish2 are now freeware. Mainly because I've lost the original synthedit file so can't actually bugfix/update them without redoing them from scratch. enjoy! The password for the mongfish 2 zip is higltypiglty.
