No, man, a sample of a kick combined with some hi hat that came before it is not good enough

. I wonder how 808 synthesis + 909 samples in one Roland hardware really works/sounds. Who knows, maybe not that good so they decided to dump the idea.

Roland TR-809 and Roland TR-808? Difference?
