The mix should sound more confident and manly at low "Hysterisis" levels, cause "Hysterisis" is a parameter that tells the compressor how much hysteria (=OhmiGod! OhmiGod! WTF am I supposed to do with this one?!) it's allowed at high peak levels. It's the next big step after emulating analog circuits -> emulating human circuits :hyper:
Ah, good! I want that "Def Leppard" sound with one button!

Yep. It doesn't get any better than this. You expected maybe edifying intellectual insights? :P

However, you might want to check out Barricade Pro; nice hunk of limiter!

If he's pricing it low enough not to bother stealing it, won't a group buy end up either making no difference or else costing the developer money?

Or maybe we can have a group buy just for fun. Regular price, $20. Group buy lowers the price by 25 cents for each 25 people who apply! Tell all your friends! Get it for as low as $17!
Surely there must be consensus by now...

Thanks Jason, Barricade Pro is pretty good. I'm still learning how to work it and was thinking I needed some number indications to make the proper settings, but then again maybe not. I can tweak till it sounds good instead of automatically twisting the release to 100ms or something routine like that.

Anyway I turned off the Ozone3 limiter and Barricade is holding it's own so I guess it's better than pretty good so far. I believe I'll pick this one up for sure. :tu:

Hiya

It sound a bit different compared to the other limiters I use.

That is tres cool. 8)

I usually push the limiters I test rather hard with my own mastering plugs when I test them. And I think it handle this test good.

Was especially nice in the low end. Where it did bring out a nice clarity
& separation.

Only tested with one mix so far during a half hour session.

best wishes
Cheers Bob
