Questions Regarding Receptor

Hello,

I was wondering if people could perhaps answer some questions for me regarding Receptor. I am an all hardware electronic music producer. I do quite a bit of LivePA work and all of my hardware and songs are setup for live performance. The Receptor looks extremely interesting as a solution to get some of the more complex and unique synthesis sounds that can only be found in software into my setup. The Receptor Komplete looks extremely interesting. I wonder if you could help me with the following questions.

1. I have read that the Receptor can be played on in standalone, but it is not clear whether or not patch editing and creation can be done on the device without the computer. I am not a computer user in my music so beyond loading synths/effects onto the device can it operate completely without a computer hookup?

2. How easy/difficult is it to assign an external midi device to control synth parameters? Would a device that has template support for plugins support those templates when hooked up to a Receptor?

3. Is the internal HDD or RAM user upgradeable at all?

Any help would be great.
