Don't understand why the "sound browser" GUI is black text on dark blue background. As the blue lightens towards the bottom, I can read the text there, but simply can't read it towards the top.

Is SS skinnable? I would gladly give up the "cool look" for something I could actually read.

I find myself only using ST (because I can read it!). My eyes were great 3 years ago, but hitting 40 did me in...

thanks!

Hi Tim

I can relate about aging eyes,,, lol. SS2 isn't skinable. Since ST does allow background color changes, you're best bet is to use the ST engine. All of your SS Combi's and voices should load in ST. I don't know why your SS background colors change from top to bottom. The color is uniform here.

Sounds like you've discovered how to change background colors in ST, because the default Red background is almost impossible for me read. I run mine in a light blue, similar to SS2's color, here. Sometimes I resort to reading glasses. The font size is not that friendly to the visually challenged.

Good luck!

I can read the ST GUI. But even with my readers on, I struggle with SS.

Kinda a gripe of mine. I have TWO 1600x1200 displays. I wish VSTi UI's could be resized, cause I have plenty of screen space. There are some VSTi's that are a pleasure to work with (Spectrasonics Atmosphere for example) cause I can SEE them.

I dunno. My eyes aren't the best either, but there's something about that cool blue that just mellows me right out... :hihi:

So many plugins, so little time...

+1 for the "ST2 Blue Men" - that'll include me and asseca too.

Especially with ST2 wrapped in mGUI so that I can navigate the Browser and load Instruments using the mousewheel and arrow keys.
DarkStar, ... Interesting, if true
