Latency with Firewire hardware AHHHH!!!!

I finally got my H8000FW up and running and it sounds awesome but I am getting some latency in logic 8. Its weird itll sound fine one second then it slowly arifact start showing up then you cant even make out what the sound used to be until it circles around and sounds fine again. this latency right or is it a clock issuse? I made an aggregate device which consists of kore as audio interface and H8000. and that is what I am using in logic as my hardware drivers the H8000 syncs to kores clock. Will I be able to get this set up with less artifacts? Thanks I'm still learning

Yeah Ive got the H8000 sync to Kores clock maybe I should switch it around or just try using my computer built in audio and see what happens.

Ive tried a couple of different configurations to no avail. I wonder what would happen if I used the H8000 for my audio interface. Ive never had to clock things before I wonder where I should begin I dont even know if I need a clock for my set up. The only things I am triying to use is a kore audiointerface and a H8000fw should this set up require a clock/sync?

If you're using more than one interface simultaneously you need to sync them. That's the downside of digital audio devices. And you'll need a way to set up that synchronisation. It looks like there's no way to do that with NI Kore. Usually there's a wordclock socket for that at the back of the unit.
What happens if you run a S/PDIF cabe from Kore to the S/PDIF input of the Eventide H8000? ..

I checked the lore manual and it has a single spdif out and say that it duplicates the main stereo pair of audio output signals. I not sure if this could be used as a clock/sync. My only other option I guess is to hook my monitors directly to the H8000 or get a clock sync or another audio interface that does have a clock/sync, what do you recommend?

I have figured out my prob, it had to do with my aggregate device I made for making two audio devices into one so that you can use them both in logic. Well the problem was in that device I had kore set as the masterclock, when I switched the masterclock to the H8000 it cured the problem, accept for a pop every once and a while, I can probably solve that in logic experimenting with different buffer sizes or something. Any Ideas what can cause pops every once and a while? Thanks

You have two digital devices, and their clocks are not in sync and never will be unless you're linking them by means of a cable of some sort to connect them digitally. Wordclock is what they need, but Kore doesn't have that.
An aggregate device tries its best to merge several devices into one big device. You'll have to appoint one device to be the master. If that one's clock runs faster than the others, then samples will be missing. Probably those missing samples are filled with zeroes, which make a clicking sound. If however the master clock is running slower than the others, then samples are skipped. Skipped samples are not as noticable as clicks or pops.
So you probably found the slowest clock of your two devices, which results in the best performance you can get.
Clocks don't have a constant speed. Usually they have a tolerance of 50ppm or better, which means that every million ticks (about 21 seconds @ 48kHz) it can be off by 50 samples (about 1 millisecond)
