So I just got my copy of Pukka Masala for SampleTank, courtesy of a Musicians' Fiend Stupid Deal of the Day thing.

It's a poorly organized library and you never know which octave to trigger loops with... but that aside, the sync feature of SampleTank2 LE just doesn't seem to work. A 109BPM loop is always going to play at 109BPM, regardless of the supposedly one-click sync button.

Is there something I'm missing, or does it just not work?

Is there anything out there that will bulk convert SampleTank files to something more useful (say, plain WAVs)?

A hesitant answer which I hope may be of some help.
I read somewhere, having only just worked out this feature myself (duh...) that the file name needs to include the tempo of the loop. I'm guessing though that that is the case... but it may be worth a check.

From looking through the SampleTank docs - 2.1 does things slightly differently from 2.5 it seems. 2.1 has a Loop Sync and 2.5 has Part and Master sync - whereby you can sync either one part or everything that is loaded.

If it helps - the feature does work for me so I know it can be done. It may be worth also asking in the Sonic Reality/eSoundz forum http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=9 as the guys there know SampleTank very well.

They do seem to have the tempo in the filenames already. Thanks though.
