Best VSTi for really fat / Prodigy-esque basses?

AONO album uses a lot of distorted/tube driven sounds.. maybe that's what you need to experiment with.. the album is good (tho can get a bit grating on the ears, felt like they just ran every track through the same effect) but jilted generation is still the best imo, then experience.

3-how THE f**k do you want to filter a sine wave?

glad i wasn't alone thinking about this. i just kind of skipped over it but then thought, wait, a sine has only the fundamental and no harmonics right and filters remove harmonic content so what could it possibly do besides attenuate it?

this /is/ accurate right? filtering a pure sine is like turning the volume down?

You might chop it, but chopping is not the same as filtering.

When you use any filter made of resistor(s), coil(s) and/or condensator(s), and you feed a pure sine: it will -indeed- only change the volume, not the waveshape.
