I wonder, will this omnisphere replace atmosphere in a way that projects which use atmosphere can retreieve the same patch with omnisphere?

Forgive me if I've missed something, spectrum wrote: - upgrade for Atmosphere users
but what I want to know now, is HOW MUCH?

No. It's a different instrument, so songs won't retrieve the patches.adamtrance wrote:I wonder, will this omnisphere replace atmosphere in a way that projects which use atmosphere can retreieve the same patch with omnisphere?
However, all the Atmosphere patches are included so that you can recreate the tracks.
It's the same situation that we had between the original Stylus and Stylus RMX.

Upgrade pricing will be announced closer to the release in September.Geddulp wrote:Forgive me if I've missed something, spectrum wrote: - upgrade for Atmosphere users

Will there be any sort of pre-ordering, or will we have to wait until September 15 to place our orders? (By the way, I'm really enjoying going through the presets on Atmosphere; lots of great stuff!)spectrum wrote:

That's too bad for me, cause I'm considering getting Atmosphere now that you say there's a UB wrapper that works. But I'm not shelling out now just to feel stupid later, there's plenty other stuff to investigate meanwhile.
Not to say I'm not excited about your products, because I really am!

So... tempting this time, Eric. I really gotta see that thing in action at Musikmesse this year.spectrum wrote:No. It's a different instrument, so songs won't retrieve the patches.

And I hope that RMX will still survive for a while. I don't have it for that long yet myself, even though I use it for a while now, but IMO it's still the best REX/Loop/background beat creation tool on the market. No need to make a V2, or a complete new VSTi out of it (only maybe increase the layers from 8 up to 12 maybe). At least not within the next 2 years. But that's just me.
Really looking forward to Omnisphere, along with STS-21 and maybe even one more synth of choice for bass/pad/lead sounds, and you're almost set indefinitely for creating ambient music.
One thing I wanna know though... will there be upgrade packs like with RMX?

FAL, you know you can put multiple licenses onto the dongle right?FAL wrote:Dongle? Please say no! I'm out of USB ports now between the keyboard, mouse, USB keyboard, and 2 dongles for PLAY and Cubase!
So if you buy any more software that uses either iLok or Syncrosoft you can put your license onto that.

Same type of custom C/R system that Stylus RMX uses.

And I was writing a few other things off for that very reason! Thanks! Now I can go ahead and get the Izotope stuff I wanted!
