Exclusive bonuses from Sonic Reality:
  • 1. Sonic Reality's "X-Gear™ Classic Rock" patches ($39.) combining the effects of AmpliTube® 2 with the rig of Jimi Hendrix to recreate the sounds of dozens of famous guitarists from the 60's & 70's.

    2. Sonic Reality's "AmpliGrooves™ Vol. 1" ($49.) featuring a wide variety of rock drums and full band "Jam Loops" to play along with in IK's Speedtrainer (inside AmpiTube 2 Jimi Hendrix). Great for practicing, writing or live performance!

One week left. Will IKMM meet their latest deadline, or miss yet another one?

According to IK Multimedia's most recent press release:
"The included AmpliTube Metal for AmpliTube 2 registered users will be available by March." http://www.kvraudio.com/news/8516.html

And from a different January 17th press release:
"X-GEAR has an MSRP of €79.99/$99.99 and it is included in StompIO. A software-only version of X-GEAR with support for general-purpose MIDI controllers will be available next month." http://www.kvraudio.com/news/8517.html

I so want to believe them, but logic tells us they will miss the deadlines

Yeah, but it's getting to point that despite mine (and maybe some others) t/c prodding, it's getting close!

It will most likely be worth the wait.

I'm starting to wonder if I should do the buy csr/get svx thingy ik is doing. svx could benefit greatly from some of the at2/jhe plugs!
so what

since it's in stock there, we SHOULD be actually getting the x gear thingy in the next few weeks.

There's no official words yet about X-Gear being free (even for limited time) for those who own 2 AmpliTube-powered plugins. It makes me wonder...
Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. ;)

Yes there is!

Er, squids has mentioned it somewhere in all this  Although sorry, I don't remember where :(

Yes, I remember squids saying that. It's just that IK themselves should also announce it, instead of always mentioning the price everytime they have a press about it. :)

EDITED: For the record, I own AmpliTube JHE and Ampeg SVX, but not AT2. By AT-powered, I think I should still qualify. Or am I mistaken? :)
Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. ;)

Last time I heard of X-Gear was that if you had AT2, it was free. Then you had to have AT2 and another guitar product, it was free...Now I am not so sure anymore.

Look through the first 10 pages of this thread for some answers.

But somehow I recall that AT2 had to be in the picture for you to get the free XGaer.

I emailed IKMM about this and the reply I got from senior tech support was "to the best of my knowledge at this point JH users will be free also for a limited time."

Thank you very much. That is reassuring to hear. :)

I can't understand why svx users wouldn't get it too.

At2 and svx are the two "expensive" ones.

Looks like if you have the software that comes with StompIO, you get X-Gear since it also comes free with StompIO.
Play what you feel and feel what you play.

I think that they will eventually give it out for free to everyone with guitar products.

Latest official response from IKMM as of yesterday is that if you have AT2, you get it for free. No words on ATJHE's owners.
