It's not really worth a d/l IMO, thoughjdbaker86 wrote:Do you have a link for this? I wasn't able to find it in either a KVR search or a Google search...
I prefer g200kg's ProtoPSG, the ymVST and NeonEmpyr's stuff. Piz's Mr. Alias is a must d/l if you haven't yet.

Hey there- do you have links to some of the other references you list?
Google is turning up no results for many (such as the Sam VOPM 0.1.1 etc)
Thanks!

For VGM VSTs, ReFx's QuadraSID is by far my absolute favorite. It's payware, but to me, worth every cent as it has more features and sound design possibilities than other chip VSTs I have seen so far. Making good use of the wavetable section in there allows for countless sound effects and very unique basses and leads.

VOPM, bar none (You may need to extract some patches from various .MDX music files floating on the net, however!)
Otherwise, I know for a fact Oatmeal is very capable of this type of videogamey sound.

Is the Starrfish SoftPSG still available anywhere? I think I have all the others, but can't find that one - original website seems to be down.

Hello,
Thank you for this topic. It help me.
I know this topic is old but I have a webpage about these plugins.
You can download all on : http://woolyss.com/chipmusic-plugins.php
Few plugins are rare VSTi today.
For example, you can download Starrfish SoftPSG (Soft PSG) on this page.
For "chip composers" !
