Hello All,
At the Bolder Sounds website we are offering a FREE demo version of a new release - Tibetan Singing Bowls for NI Kontak 2 and the EXS 24
The full version is 760 mb of 24 bit samples, while the demo is 20 mb of 16 bit samples.
Bowl articulations offered are: hits (with various objects) sustained (puja stick on the rim of the bowl to make it "sing" ) and sustain release samples. The six bowls sampled range from 5.75 to 9.5 inches in diameter.
There are also 2 audio demos of the Tibetan Bowls, one being voice narrated explaining the various mapping and programming techniques used in this sound set.
Thanks and best wishes!

Thanks, Dennis. The download link seems to be a bit temperamental - it took half a dozen tries to make it "stick". Most of the time, the Kontakt download link took me straight to this page:

Perhaps you could check it out...

Yes ... he's a regular around here, he's not sampled.
And sorry for the "mellow" voice on the demo. Those bowls are somewhat hypnotic

It was a relaxing voice over. You should really do a self help series, either way I am purchasing this library in a few, I am really looking forward to it!Bolder wrote:Yes ... he's a regular around here, he's not sampled.

The audio demo is of the FULL version of the bowls - 760 mb . Perhaps I was not clear that the demo (as in free downloadable version) is 20 mb, but the AUDIO demo was made from the FULL version.
My apologies for the confusion!

They are fascinating instruments. Someone showed me the other day holding your mouth over the rim (not touching): if you change the shape of your mouth it changes the resonance of the bowl because your mouth becomes an extra resonator cavity.Bolder wrote: Bowl articulations
