Cool. I did try it out in a demo version of Tunafish simply because I knew it was VST compatible. Tunafish kinda sucks, but it at least allowed to me to hear it. There are indeed some nice sounds in there.Bassballjg wrote:Thanks, Joseph. I'll pass this info on to William. I thought this specific issue odd, considering that William is a Sonar user, so there has never been a question of fundamental DX wrapped usage of the WusikEngine that has not been found and addressed somehow at least in a Cakewalk context. Anyway, I hope that we can get this stabilized for you somehow. I think you'll like it.vespers75 wrote:The main wrapper I use is DirectiXer 2.5, though I also use Spin Audio VST-DX Wrapper for some stuff. I've mainly been using an older version of Cakewalk MC that came out before CW included a wrapper though.Bassballjg wrote:Which wrappers and which host? I tried using 2 different wrappers and both of them crashed my DAW.

Great! Glad to have sorted that out for you....RJ Fielder wrote:Well that seems to have sorted that problem out. I can now play Crash Avoidance and then switch to either Breathing Lead or Creeping Shadows without my host getting nuked. Thanks alot!dnekm wrote:Try downloading the file above again, I have added another preset to it....
Place the Crash Avoidance and Creeping Shadows presets in your Synths 2 preset folder.
I've been able to switch between the 4 - Breathing Lead, Crash Avoidance, Creeping Shadows and Disturbed Lead - moving up and down with no issues.....

Speaking of the crossgrade, if anybody is a user of any of Fortuity VST, Anomaly(any format) our previous and current Wusik, Kontakt and Sampletank libraries, and Dangerous Grooves loops(including the Perimeter Sound Edition and the current $5 blowout of DG 2.0) who has not gotten a crossgrade link for Prometheus, please let me know by email or PM asap so you can get in at the lower price.

Did William ever say what he will do with vsti like Prometheus. Right now they have the same id and therefore point to the default wusikstaiton directory. I just wonder what the future holds. Right now it is hard for me to have prometheus installed side by side with wusik as separate vstis....

Two new audio demos from the forthcoming preset update. These presets use sounds from both Prometheus and Anomaly:
The first is a short clip that uses 2 presets:
The Castle
The second is one preset with two keys held down:
RYM-The Dark Magician

Indeed, it's a massive library. Still really just wading through the massive content. Really enjoying it so far. Can someone confirm this issue or there may already be a solution. Pads 1, about 15th preset down is PAD-Lank-Bel. I get an error saying can't load the DangerousBearPhaser.WusikEFX. It is in the correct location though.WilliamK wrote:![]()

Morelia - the easy fix for that is to just load the effect and tinker with the settings - that preset was probably made before the final versions of the FX were added.
Maybe John can post the settings that he used....

I will double check this, but Daniel is on the right track here. We did get a new version of the phaser from Les in the last few days before release, and its parameters are a little different. I am sure that is you load the effect manually and resave, the preset itself will load without further incident. But to get the proper settings, I need to do that and issue a fixed preset. Or you can tweak it to your taste and save it as a customized preset. I don't remember what settings were used on that one, really, but what the heck, if it sounds good, it is good.morelia wrote:Indeed, it's a massive library. As for the new instrument installer, it fixes the issue of having more than one WusikEngine DATA folder on the same computer without the manual editing of the wIni files. Now each WusikEngine .dll, Prometheus or Wusikstation may point to its own DATA folder, where brfore, there had been some trouble with Prometheus finding the Wusikstation DATA folder on first launch and not asking to seek its own. Users who only own Prometheus do not have, and never had, this problem.
