The epointz system is changing on www.esoundz.com As many of you know you can refer someone to esoundz and when they make a purchase and mention your login both of you get $5 in epointz added to your account for your next purchases (that's credit to use on the site). That's still happening but there are some new changes coming and here's a list of them:

1. You can now get epointz referals on ANY item even if it is just a selection of loops for a few bucks. Any transaction that is under $100, 5% of your order can go back into you account and the referer's! Any transaction $100 and up caps at the $5 referal you have today.

2. Before you had a maximum of $50 in epointz you could get before you had to use them and then start over. With the new system you will have no upper limits to your account. Get as many epointz referals as you can... spread the word and tell people to use your esoundz login name so they get epointz and so do you.

3. Here's a little trade off. As of this coming MONDAY, February 25th, 2008 you will no longer be able to use your epointz as credits toward PHYSICAL products. Only for downloadable products. It's one of the trade-offs to have the previous two features and more. IMPORTANT: If you have epointz in your account right now and want to use them on physical products THIS WEEKEND IS YOUR LAST CHANCE to do it. Now... the system is actually ready right now but we decided to hold off until Monday so you at least had this tiny head's up. In the future if you have a lot of epointz and you want to talk to a salesman to see what they can do then that's fine... I am sure they can work a deal where you can use partial epointz and partial cash or something but the point is that it won't happen automatically on physical products like it does today (until Monday). So... if you want to buy some IK products or any physical boxed products then this weekend is the best time to do that.

A couple other features of the new system will be ways to get epointz from doing reviews of products and also user demos. For referals we're changing it so you can't refer the same person twice. You can refer them once and they can return the favor and refer you BUT the next time you two have to pick someone else... spread the love. We even have a referal thread going in our forum to pick other people... I am sure they'll appreciate it!

Dang! I have been saving for the past many months my epointz to use towards SampleMoog. I have very little spare money these days and won't be able to buy it otherwise.

Now I don't know what to use my epointz for? I don't use loops. So I guess that rules out most if the downloadable stuff, right?

Any ideas what I can buy as a download for use in SampleTank 2, Squids?

I also was hoarding my pennies for Samplemoog and the current IK plug and fx promotion was all the encouragement I needed to do this now. Is it possible to get an extention of a week or two so we can still use our epointz for Samplemoog?

I think so, judging by one of Squids' recent posts in the group buy thread. The question is whether or not IK Multimedia is going to make SampleTron eligible for their plug and mix promotion.

Answer 1 is no.

Answer 2 is for physical sound products yes. For SOME software products yes. For IK software products... not often. But this group buy IS an exception. So we'll see how it goes.

We're releasing hundreds of new sounds for SampleTank in the next month or so and will continue on that trend.

You COULD apply it to SampleMoog if you did it either today or tomorrow (we'll even hold off another day for you guys to be able to use your epointz on physical products one more day). Also, SampleTron is available for pre-order and you can use it on that too: http://www.esoundz.com/details.php?ProductID=1934

But by Thursday it will be different. You STILL CAN use your epointz on physical products but just not ALL of them like you will be able to with sounds. You'd have to ask a salesman how many epointz you can apply to it that's all. Depends on the product. It will never be more than $50 though (and that's why that limit was there before). But now that the limit is GONE... I am sure you can figure out how we're able to do it THIS way... and some of you guys are so good at referrals that you could potentially get all of your sounds for free just for hanging around forums and putting esoundz in your signatures and mentioning it to people when they're asking for sounds (helping them and yourself). It works.

Again, you can apply some of your epointz to SampleMoog any time later. It just won't be an automatic thing that's all... and you will have a limit. Not sure what that limit will be but there's a certain price we can't sell it below or we simply LOSE money! So... that has to be watched on other company's physical products that esoundz buys. But for our own sounds? We have more room so it's all relative. When we answer to ourselves we have more flexibility.

There isn't currently. But if someone buys it that already owns Squids Tron they can at least get something like $50 back in epointz for sure as a crossgrade rebate. Just email Allen after you've order it. But, there is so much different data and the application that it is worth the money for all of that in the first place.

Also, originally the whole product was going to be $100 more but we brought it down to make it more affordable... and left out some of the Squids Tron stuff like the non-looped tube trons and various things. It really IS Squids Tron 2 with a cool GUI.
