[EDIT - oops, wrong forum. Could someone put this in "Instruments" please?]

I'm looking for information about the different DLLs that Samplelord installs, but I can't seem to find anything in the documentation about it?

I can understand what the following do:
Samplelord_04stereo.dll
Samplelord_08stereo.dll
Samplelord_12stereo.dll
Samplelord_16stereo.dll

But it also installs:
Samplelord.dll
Samplelord #1.dll
Samplelord #2.dll
Samplelord #3.dll
Samplelord #4.dll

... and those last 5 ones seem to be identical. I'm wondering why these ones are here? Surely you'd just keep adding more "Samplelord.dll" instances if you wanted more than one in the host?

Samplelord.dll is the one to use.

The Samplelord.NNstereo.dll files have a fixed number of stereo ouputs, for use in host which do not support dynamic changes to the number of outputs or for some CPU saving as each VSTi audio channel takes some CPU power for its processing so reducing the number of audio channels on multiple plugin instances may reduce CPU load

Samplelord #N.dll files were, I think, for compatiblity with projects saved with very early versions of Samplelord. I think that you can safely ignore them. [Just rename them to Samplelord #N.dll.old and see how it goes]

Fantastic, thanks Simon! Those #1-#4 ones were the main ones that were confusing me, I'm going to just delete them, as I don't recall using them before.

Would be nice if Wlodzimierz would add a little note about it in the Installation section of the manual.

Perhaps I'll write him an email.

Cheers, Nick
