As good a place as any to ask a techie kind of question?

Standalone AT2 and ATJHE are working perfectly for me. Truly amazing. And probably the mode in which I will most commonly employ them.

When i use them as FX in FL Producer 7, i have no problem at all with AT2: send it some sampled guitar, it chews it and does great stuff. :)

But, the JHE, within FL, won't load right. It gives me a 'disabled,' or it gives me fatal system errors, about not accessing location blah blah blah. :(

Anyone else? Bad install? FL problem? Or am i awaiting X-Gear as the remedy?

This one is for IK tech support to troubleshoot with you for your particular system. Please contact them! They'll help you figure it out.

Have you done a search on the image-line forums? You should find various troubleshooting solutions to try out there. Search for: Amplitube, IK, AT2, etc...

I just came across this:

AmpliTube 2 review update: strange stereo behaviour

I haven't noticed any problems yet, but I was wondering if this was fixed by IK Multimedia.

Thanks for that suggestion. This worked out pretty well, I think. There was a thread there that suggested adjusting buffer sizes, among other simple remedies. I haven't seen the problem since.

Sure, there are people who only want to imitate Jimi Hendrix... but how many could there be? I wish they had something that was more complete or "ala carte." I'm signed up for the eSoundz group buy but I'll have to pass on the Amplitube 2 because I need the SVX more. So oddly, if I want something from Amplitube 2 it will cost me more than the SVX/JH combo. (I understand why, but...)

That said, is sure is a super great deal and probably will keep me happy for a long time. I spent a lot of time with different Amp sims (guitar rig included) and nothing came close. I crow all the time about how much I love my Vox Tonelab SE but I wonder if in the future I'll be leaving it behind and going all software.

Not to revive this thread but I will :) I just have to comment since nobody else did - the JHE is named for the man but there's SO much more than "emulating Jimi Hendrix" here. There are a multitude of vintage fuzz pedals modeled exquisitely. There are amp models that cannot be found in the regular Amplitube2. GREAT amp models. I think the least fun I had with it was playing Hendrix - what was truly satisfying was playing with the great amp and stomp (as well as rack) models that were done so well.

To my ears too the JH version is MUCH better than A2. It is totally playable and sounds good too - just to play on its own...

Skip past the 'Discography' stuff and get into the 'Misc' presets for an idea... I gotta feeling this is going to be my best software amp.sim - and probably by the morning.

I've been using the hell out of JHE. I love that Bassman model!

I'm really glad to see others saying this. I thought from the beginning that the models were more responsive and better sounding but my ears are pretty fried ;-)
Play what you feel and feel what you play.
