Sorry, I'm no computer hack so I really don't know?
Very nice! Hopefully they expand on the concept with other synths or a sampler of some sort. (whille still being able to link up)Dogboy73 wrote:DS's can be linked up via the wireless connection;Liquidclear wrote:It'd be neat if you could link up the GBs and add to the power of the synth in a modular fashion.
Several units can be connected and played together through a wireless link
That's weird - I was thinking the same thing earlier!?! I imagined the 4 guys, 2 in black suits with black DS's & the other 2 in white suits with white ones, performing at the Korg DS-10 launch party!Opax wrote:I can see it now...
Kraftwerk performing on stage, each member with his own DS and a copy of DS-10.
Just got some ideas for iPhone based synths/sequencers. Nothing up and running yet.grymmjack wrote:where? i've jailbroke on 1.3 - haven't updated to 1.4 yet - are you saying you have created some host for iphone?Borogove wrote:Tinygod + iPhone SDKMaliceX wrote:Looks interesting, there's only a sprinkle of these kind of handheld music machines for portable game devices. :O
Nitro tracker looks good & fairly easy to get up & running. But it would be good if a company took this on & gave it a proper release for the DS. The fact that it exists means there must be at least some niche market for it. With music based titles like Elektroplankton (to some extent) & Jam sessions already getting commercial releaes I think the DS is crying out for more stuff like this. The touch screen makes it perfect for these kinds of applications.mckenic wrote:Y'all know about Nitro Tracker - http://nitrotracker.tobw.net

It has to be ..... surely?bambooman wrote:it'll be available all over.. i guess
Indeed. I think the DS has been crying out for a more serious music app but I never imagined anything like this. If it had of been April I would have tought it was a cruel April fools joke! Nothing like this has ever happened in the gaming world before. There have been several music making programs on consoles before. Most of them try to work as games with a music making theme. Then you had things like Codemasters 'Music', which was a more in depth (for a console) 'Dance e-jay' style program. Navigating through the menu system of even a simpe program like 'Music' was a frustrating task when using a joypad. But any such game/app would work a treat with the DS's touch screen. Based on what we've seen so far & the inspiration behind I'm very excited about DS-10.Muzik 4 Machines wrote:im getting a DS as soon as it's avail in canada, finally a company that unserstands the potential of it!
