Hello
I have been googling for some minutes in search of some convincing string synths samples (Korg Delta, Crumar Performer, Hohner string performer, Roland VSS202, Arp SOlina,etc), but i haven't found any...
Do you know if such samples are available somewhere (free is better) ?

Here's a Solina patch for Kontakt2, Halion, SF2 or wav from www.prokits.co.uk. Its not free but its only £3.00. The samples were at some point available on the web but I don't know where any more. The value added programming in the prokits version includes looping them, adding velocity-sensitivity and a cool per-note flanging effect which can be brought in. Here's the mp3 demo and web page

Check that, we have a synth string section with strings we've sampled from various analogs synths (solina, juno, korg etc) and a few from the fantom and motif too.

Hey, some samples were made by 8bit apocalyse ! I dig their music, they released a EP on Breakin records and it rocks

Their other samples banks seems very yummy, too...

Puremagnetik has a string machine sample set for US$12 (Solina Strings, Roland VP-300 and RS09, and Crumar Orchestrator) http://puremagnetik.com/index.php?optio ... &Itemid=50

If you can find Falke Labs Stringer 1.2, it's free, and has has Eminent/Solina, Mellotron, Korg Trident, Arp strings and Crumar Performer. I think I still have the installer somewhere, but IIRC when I upgraded machines I just dragged the DLL over.

Thanks for theses new suggestions.
I am a Live user, but i don't want to go native, and don't own Sampler.
I have StringerII, and i liek it a lot. I was curious to see if i find any samples if it would sound different.

Hi

I have a String Synth (no samples) called Constellation V coming out in my SynthStudio Pack III soon. That has a lot of the feel that you got from real string synths without locking you down with samples.
