I'd not seen this Dawn French sketch before, and yes, it does belong here...well, kinda as it features Ralph McTell, Mark Knopfler, Lemmy, Dave Gilmour, Mark King and Gary Moore http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=vOAY-zURlGA
RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.

Truly cosmic. Lots of other great Miles on YouTube. Yeah, lo-fi as hell, sucky video, but the music is tremendous...rp314 wrote:Milesand friends. Paris, 1991.

Agreed...they don't do it like that anymore, more's the pity. Chrome was awesome. I'm sure I posted some of theirs way back in this thread.xoxos wrote:HOLY SHIT

And who's the spooky strange chick sitting like a zombie to the right of the drum stand?...OMG she's up now...and she's, uh, singing or something. Quivering's more like...remind me to watch this again when I'm on a meth binge.
Glad you like it! What I love about Ivo and his WB is that for all the virtuosity there is nothing at all noodling, self indulgent or 'clever' about it. It is 100% passion, joyous, celebration .. just good honest heartfelt stuff. They know they rock ... and they don't need to do any contrived posturing to try and convince us they are kick ass, like so many musicians do (whether they realise it or not).
As for the singer - she is class, when she comes in with her vocal it sends a shiver up my spine. I have no idea what she is singing but it certainly 'hits the spot'.
I've not watched it for a week or two - time for another look I think
