Acording to Tobybear, there is trouble with alot of midiplugins in Live,

Ableton's own MIDI effects are great... what more do you/we need?

tobybears midibag covers things live native midi plugins are not capable of.

Midi mirror is probably great fun, also peakfreak sending midi triggered from audio.

For experimental music , i think midi processing can be huge help in creating interesting music

The only MIDI-plugin i use is the transpose plugin.

Due to the fact that Live doesn't have freely assignable modulation sources or programmable arpegiator/step sequencers...

I use this http://www.five12.com/

It's not a vst.

Devine Machine's Krishna will act as a midi plugin in Live. Other than that, there is a lack of midi plugs available for OSX.

It looks wicked, but no windows version :(

xoxos has just released a version of miniseries that runs great in Live

I was just using this with a couple of Tobybears midi plugs thrown in after it. Works great. I never realised you could chain VST midi plugs in Live. They have to be VST effects though.

I made a midi echo rack using Live's native midi plugs that does bouncing ball type delays ie each delay can be shorter or longer than the one before. I may release it when its cleaned up a bit. Throw it over a basic beat and tweak it live for instant Autechre stumbling beats. Actually I think Ill keep it for myself....mwwwwwwwwwwwwahaha
