Well, even if this is not an FX by the strict definition, this is the extension to IKMM Amplitube2's plugin.
Control AmpliTube 2!
IK Multimedia and AmpliTube blew open the doors of creativity in recording, and now StompIO lets you harness that power on the live stage as well. Giving you the ability to control the industry-leading amp and effects processor, StompIO offers access to thousands of amp combinations and its powerhouse of effects can be controlled without even the need of seeing the computer screen or touching the mouse. "Includes Special Enhanced Version of AmpliTube 2", I wonder if Squids has more details on that one :)

I may be out of the loop... but - can Amplitube 2 be controlled via midi / controller now also?
It's just I seem to remember some noise being made about the fact that initially it couldn't be remote controlled (or am I mistaken - I am a bit tired).
Anyway seems pricy.

From that same page:
Includes Special Enhanced Version of AmpliTube 2

StompIO includes an enhanced version of AmpliTube 2 that offers all the necessary functionality to control and configure the StompIO as a hardware controller both in standalone mode for live play and in plug-in mode for use with any popular sequencer in the studio. With the included AmpliTube version not only will you have full access to one of the most powerful guitar amp and effects software modelers ever, but you will also be able to associate all the hardware controllers to software parameters, associate presets to StompIO memory locations and fully control an immensely powerful combination of hardware and software.
Looks like the only enhancement is a better ability to have hardware control AT2.[/b]

No, the standalone still cannot be controlled via midi.

This is why the StompIO can be usefull.

But at that price...ouch

Well, it comes with all the software... that's kind of stupid. Why not any option that lets you buy the hardware only for people who've already got all the software?

Wasn't there talk of X-Gear giving people midi control, which is why all the AT2 owners wanted it for free in the first place!!

Yep. The poster above was saying that you should have the option of buying a vanilla stompIO with no software for like 400$ or so...most people might already have the products anyways.

I'm sure at some point it'll happen. :hihi:
