Nah, more like bored of other people's music

When I'm "under a dry spell" it's mostly cause I am unable to find any music that actually inspires me. I can't remember the last time I heard an electronic artist that made me go wow. Too long ago.

For most people who are creative and have fairly high standards for themselves, there are times when nothing happens. My philosophy is to take a break. I am skeptical of anyone who says they are always creative and have a zillion songs done. Maybe so, but are any of them good. It's not easy finding commercial albums by obviously talented artists that have that many good songs on them.

I'll add a few :-

1. YOU must think YOUR music is the absolute gold.
YOU must think YOUR Band/Act is the best thing since Elvis.

YOU have to assess what you like about music...what you dont like about music..and then add what you think has been overlooked and make your move.

2. Very few people are able to stay objective when writing alone.
Find a collaborator in your area and drop some bombs.
Surely there is someone local to you that is thinking along the
same musical tangent......find him/her/them, because they will inspire
you.

3. I usually find songs WRITTEN to a sequencer boring as batshit.
I usually find that the purest ideas are WRITTEN away from the computer
on a musical instrument of some sort.
Then, once the base structure is nutted out, its time to turn the
computer on and execute it into a song.
Write the song, THEN turn ur PC on
