1. What exactly do I get in the AmpliTube Vintage Group Buy I joined?
You get
Ampeg SVX Uno (a lite version that usually comes bundled with interfaces)
AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Crossgrade
AmpliTube 2 (or your choice of another IK effect such as Ampeg SVX, CSR or T-Racks - this is part of IK's plug n' mix promo)
X-Gear (but only if you either already own or choose AmpliTube 2 or Ampeg SVX)
Sonic Reality Classic Rock patches for X-Gear (requires that you chose or already own AmpliTube 2 and Jimi Hendrix for them to work).
AmpliGrooves Vol. 1-4 (4 volumes of loops to play in Speedtrainer)
RAW Style Pak of your choice (you must email allen (at) esoundz (dot) com to tell him which one you want. You have until the end of the month to make the request.)
2. How did esoundz sell all of that for just $179? What the heck?
That is the minimum advertised price for AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix which is the core of this group buy. Everything else was provided on top either via IK's latest "plug n mix" promo and from custom Sonic Reality add ons, most of which were exclusive.
3. I saw that it had shipping options but also heard it was download only. What gives?
Our normal group buy system expects to ship the product. But as we move forward there will be some group buys that are download-only such as this one. So, even if there were shipping options (sorry that will change next time when it is download) there were no shipped versions. It was download only since the plug n play promo itself was a download and so are our downloadable sounds.
4. What was this $25 charge for to Europe and Japan? Was it a shipping charge?
It was not a shipping charge. We called it a "handling and processing" charge which is vague terminology for it just costing us more to purchase it and sell it to Europe and Japan. Currency exchanges etc. Still a great deal for you in those areas so please be happy.
5. How do I get each of the products in this group buy???? Seriously Squids. Your FAQs are mildly entertaining but how about telling us how we GET these products?
A. First you get an email from Allen (support manager at esoundz) telling you how to download Ampeg SVX Uno and AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix. That's the first step in the process that you need to do and to be safe just make sure that when you get them that you register your Ampeg SVX Uno first. You don't have to if you own ANY IK product before because IK has this wonderful "Crossgrade for All" policy that allows you to get the crossgrade discount for any other IK product as long as you just own ONE IK product (good tip huh? Save some money when you buy other IK products on esoundz now by getting the crossgrade versions... you qualify for all of them now!)
B. Then to get AmpliTube 2 (or any other IK effect in IK's plug n mix promo) just follow IK's instructions that you'll find in your user area after you've registered AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix. More info here: http://www.esoundz.com/news1.php?nbr=1615
C. To get X-Gear you have to either previously own AmpliTube 2 or Ampeg SVX or choose one of those two in this group buy. Then you will be able to get it in your IK user area but only when it is available! It hasn't been released yet but should be some time this coming week. So look out for it in your IK user area (not your esoundz member's area, the IK one)
D. To get your "Sonic Reality Classic Rock X-Gear Patches" this will be in your esoundz member's area as soon as X-Gear is out... so some time this week! You can't use them until you have X-Gear so to minimize confusion we'll put them up when you can use them.
E. To get your 4 Volumes of AmpliGrooves they should be in your esoundz member's area now! If they're not then email allen (at) esoundz (dot) com and he'll make sure they get in there.
F. To get the free RAW Style Pak of your choice you can simply email allen (at)esoundz (dot) com by the end of the month and tell him which one you want. But that's your deadline for this extra freebie so don't wait. You have 2 more weeks on this nice extra.
6. What are AmpliGrooves? How do I use them?
They are special "jam loops" that are made for jamming along with inside AmpliTube's Speedtrainer which plays Waves and MP3s and can loop them, slow them down or speed them up without affecting the pitch... great for practicing, live performance, sparking some writing ideas and more. Some are full band loops to play over, some are missing lead, rhythm or bass (on purpose) so you can add in your part and some are just drum grooves. The drum grooves often have a special live feel with natural drift as opposed to perfect quantized grooves... this is more like playing with a real drummer! These files are Waves and can also be used with other devices that read wave. But the reason they are called "AmpliGrooves' is because of the jam-along factor when used inside Speedtrainer.
7. I missed this group buy! Oh no!!!! Can I still get it?
Well, you're lucky because IK's plug n mix promo runs through the end of April. So what we did was create a regular product version of "AmpliTube Vintage" that is available just until April 15th. It has MOST but not all of the goodies in this group buy. It has everything except: UNO, AmpliGrooves Vol. 3&4, RAW Style Pak. 9. This group buy was FUN! Are you going to do another one while IK has this awesome Plug n' Mix promo going on?
Yep!
