Oh yeah. +1 :tu:
Yep.

And for the love of God, please give us back the old mixer comp for the main window!
+1 to both

The lack of VST->right click-> delete / replace is up there with the loop points not snapping thing and the creation of looooong midi clips if you're working within a loop for my 'most annoying feature (or lack of)' at the moment...
It's a rave, Lewis!

When the live view comes I want to make sure that it is super quick, requires no setup and straight forward. For those reasons, I think having a clip be just a clip makes more sense.

I'd rather have "scenes" for grouped clips.
I agree with this too.
The clip is like the fundamental building block and then we have various higher-level container objects: tracks, arrangements, whatever...

I wonder if we'll start applying the "exchangeability" of clips to higher levels though. Might be interesting to save a whole track and then use it in another project - or save track settings as a template etc...

The same could apply to arrangements and so on.

I don't think that would be too much of a good thing myself.

XT2 as vst instrument Multi-channel outputs, where is it??? (like ini files in XT1) at least x4, x8 x16 modes for vst, (vst effect also if possible)

time to think about a convector of xt1 to xt2 projects. At least midi and audio channels and some very basic kind of modular object linking (semiautomatic maybe, we will do some manually...). maybe the introduction of an empty/dummy object that we will have to rearrange. Just to same some time, no need for the perfect conversion as this may be impossible.

will 1.4 have an other upgrade or that is the last one? I also use only 1.4 for the time being

live mode, setting sequencer loop area with left and right mouse buttons (at least have that option), vst menu through right mouse click.

sigh...

i hate to say it but i have kind of lost hope for multi-mode, live mode, or audio comps and midi comps in the modular view.

prove me wrong, please? I want to believe :)

well, if thats the case, its ok. xt1.4 still works, doesnt have that many un-delivered features or bugs, and mu-lab has some interesting modular things that im curious about, and after all, my preferences represent the minority anyway. i really want what i want, but i think i would be happy either way as long as jorgen makes this a success.

live mode, modular mixing and midi capabilities for eXT vst.

file mapper, but for vsts instead of standalone.

(i don't use eXT as a standalone sequencer. the great thing is about eXT for me is that you can integrate a sequencer and the modular view into other software. so for me, audio editing and host capabilities like multicore handling are not important.)

would be nice, yes.

Personally, I think a little thing like right / left click for loop points again would make me use version 2 a bit more often. I just find the click and drag so cumbersome; At first I kind of accepted it, 'cause lots of other people seemed to like it. I really didn't think it would make that much of a difference, it seems like such a small thing. But it actually gets in the way more than you might think. Especially if the loop point I want to set is off the screen. Before I could just scroll there and click.
Oh well. Like I said, I admit I'm probably in the minority still wanting the version one stuff that was supposed to be in version two, so it's not really a big deal.
big enough for me to post about it, apparently

Sorry.

No, you're right about the right/left click for loop points; click and drag is a pita. That's the main reason why I got back to 1.4: got tired of zooming in/out all the time.
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.
